32 spline swap

I swapped in a 32 spline front output into my 205. seems like now I only have 4 wheel drive and neutral. what I am saying is when I put it into 2wd i cannot freespin my front yoke. now I did not try all of this with the tires in the air. I was wondering is there something wrong with the sliding clutches or synchros on the output when I pulled it out? it removes out of drive in nuetral.
