Politically incorrect giant GM pickup conversions
Got a fwd'd email from dremu & Azblazer this morning from a former Chalet owner who had pics of his old rig - turns out he runs this giant GM pickup conversion business. Must be near the top of Obama's hit list, I can just imagine the terror-filled looks in the eyes of tree hugger Prius drivers when they see these in the rear view mirrors.
I know there's one home conversion C-60 Blazer at ck5, where the tilt front was grafted on. I wonder if it would be easier to substitute a Blazer tub on these, after shortening up the frame first... ![]()

I was looking to build one for myself, and might still. I want to use a stretched crew cab body (I have four kids, need the extra room) and use a big rig drivetrain. Nothing says bada$$ like 15 speeds and a CAT diesel.

I'd love to have a 4500 or 5500 Kodiak/Topkick 4x4!
![]() We had a barrier truck come in for PM when I worked at the DOT, that was about a 94? Medium duty with a Marmon-Herrington 4x4 conversion, sat tall enough I bet it could run 44s no problem! It was an awesome truck! I was wishing it would be part of the equipment auction and that I could buy it but, it wasn't and I couldn't, they keep it and just use it as a barrier truck (they figure it's heavy enough, it won't get moved if some idiot hits it).
