Skyler Sport Top

Photo's and test vehicle courtesy of Shawn Spickler

Skyler Corp manufactures a soft top conversion for the Chevy Blazer and GMC Jimmy that actually utilizes the factory hardtop mounting bolts. As a result of the specially designed bolt-on mounting hardware there are no holes, no drilling and no modifications needed! Simply un-bolt your removable factory fiberglass hardtop and bolt-on the soft top.  The kit includes every thing you need including bed rails and cab rails that attach the vinyl top by Velcro, the rear section attaches with Velcro tape directly to the tailgate.  Also included is a support bar and black nylon straps to secure and remove wrinkles from the top as well as a wooden support bow which is used to keep rain water from collecting onto the top, this also prevents the top from coming off during highway use.  The top is very easy to remove and install and is great if you should happen to get caught in the rain.  The only drawback to the top is you loose your passenger room with the top installed, a problem if it starts to rain.

We found this top very easy to use. The craftsmanship was excellent. The top definitely gave the Blazer a good look and the comments from people were always good. In the rain, we never had problems with leaks and seemed to be airtight for those cold nights. There are a few considerations to take into account. First is you lose your back seat when the top is on. Another thing to consider is a roll bar. If you have one or you're planning a roll bar in the future, this top can not be used. - Scott Navratil CK5
